JAMES SUTHERLAND IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB
Or so they say, but when all is said and done, will there be anyone left to pay him? Set in the oceanic West of White-Wolf's Creation, Blue Rhapsody follows a many-lived immortal who finds himself inevitably and inexorably thrust into the middle of every conflict imaginable. Perhaps because of his ceaseless chasing of powerful artifacts, or his uncanny talent for stirring up trouble, Sutherland flies from one adventure to the next with reckless abandon. Standing against forces which conspire to enslave and destroy the Western nations, Sutherland faces his heaviest challenge to date: an impending duel with the unimaginably powerful Silver Prince; the ire of the Yozi, Kimbery; and worst of all, the scorn of a heartbroken and very violent woman!

In 2001, I began putting Final Fantasy VII into novel form. This was how I imagined FFVII well before Advent Children came along to confirm everything I knew about Cloud and his world. Still, Final Fantasy VII sits rife with trivia, unanswered questions, tantalizing mysteries, and so many storylines I could go on talking about them forever. Instead of doing that, I began to novelize. Though I have not touched it in years, I still have every intention of returning to this project—perhaps after I've managed to publish some of my original works.

A sample chapter from the Street Fighter / King of Fighters crossover story I hope to publish under the authority of their respective owners. This crossover has been on the minds of fighting game fanatics for years—as far back as Fatal Fury Special. As a die-hard fan of Street Fighter and King of Fighters, it was inevitable that I would take a crack at the tale of their collision. Like COTP, this story is on-hold while I toil away on completely original works. However, as this story's plot is wholly my own invention, I see its publication as being far more tennable than that of COTP's, which is a novelization of something largely written by someone else. This particular chapter follows events in Ryu's life just before the story begins.

This is the third or fourth Final Fantasy XI story I have attempted. While I do have the others stored on my hard drive, I am most satisfied with this one, and will try to keep it updated to the main page as well as this archive. The story touches on my impressions of Vana'diel, and will visit themes of player experiences from the perspective of fictional characters. The story follows Kaska, a veteran adventurer who finds himself treading Vana'diel soil long after most of his friends have gone.

Both titles are separate and stand alone, but share the quality of hopeful publication sometime in the not too distant future!Each will eventually expand into a larger series of stories, as I have expansive ideas for the characters and settings of both books.
